National Council of Indian Australians ( NCIA ) represents a large number of successful Australian of Indian origin and descent that are now part of the Australian society and is the voice of such Indian Australians
NCIA is a non-political organization whose membership and support comes the entire spectrum of people of Indian origin regardless of their state or region of origin in India. These very attributes are a source of fundamental strength for NCIA
NCIA interacts with various agencies and elements of Australian Federal, State and as well elements and organs of Government of India to promote its objectives.
NCIA also interacts with community organizations and professional bodies and associations in Australia, India and other countries.
An important aspect of activities of NCIA is interaction with Australian and Indian media to promote and present a balanced perspective on various issues of interest to the Indian Diaspora.
NCIA has started with several prominent founding members from all states of Australia who constitute the initial committee and who will manage the organization for twenty four months. Dr Yadu Singh and Ravi Bhatia are the founding Co-Chairpersons of NCIA and Vasan Srinivasan is the founding President/Secretary of NCIA .
